Edison Mall is a solid option if you’re looking for the traditional mall experience.  Its 160+ specialty shops, including major retailers Macy’s, Dillard’s, JCPenney and Sears, in addition to brand name stores like Aéropostale, Ann Taylor, Spencer’s Gifts and Victoria’s Secret, provide a satisfying shopping experience. Manatee Park
Manatee Park is a nice smaller park with a few walking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, picnic tables, a small gift shop and, of course, manatees. These exotic creatures settle in the waters of the park and are typically best seen during the winter months of January, February and March. This park is ideal for a day trip or even a lunch picnic. Fantastic option off island. Parking is $1 per hour or $5 for the entire day.

Fort Myers Art Walk
The first Friday of the month, all year long, downtown Fort Myers River District welcomes art enthusiasts, collectors, and all others to enjoy art, wine, live music and hors d'oeuvres provided by local galleries and business in the area. Meet, greet and support local artists, small businesses, and others during this wonderful cultural event, which is quickly gaining national recognition.  The event itself is a self-guided tour, allowing browsers  to see what they want to see along the way, and set their own pace. Additionally, a free trolley service takes Art Walkers from the core downtown area to Art Stops located outside the immediate walking area and, even further, there is an Art Walk After Party beginning at 10PM!
